Editorial standards

RunFast's guides explain how to train, race, eat and recover as a runner. This is how they are made.

Who writes them

RunFast, the team behind the app. You can reach us at [email protected].

How a guide is made

  1. We pick topics from what runners search for and ask.
  2. We read the research first: position stands and consensus statements, then systematic reviews and meta-analyses, then individual trials. Every factual claim in a guide links to its source in the list at the end.
  3. Guides are drafted with the help of AI, from those sources only.
  4. A separate review checks each claim against its source and cuts what the source doesn’t support.
  5. The person who builds RunFast reads and approves every guide before it is published.

Where the evidence is mixed

The guide says so, even when that’s less tidy than a rule of thumb.

What we don’t do

No sponsored content, no affiliate links, and nothing to sell you besides the app. The guides are general information, not medical advice.

Updates

The date at the top of a guide is when it was last reviewed or changed. If you find a mistake, email us and we’ll correct it.
